I am so thankful to live in an area that deeply values its natural areas. And what better way to show appreciation than to volunteer and help maintain these little pockets of nature throughout town on National Public Lands Day.
Fort Collins maintains 600 acres of parks, 40,000 acres of natural areas and 20 miles of off-street hike/bike trails. These are the places we go when we can’t make it to the mountains- escaping to nature without even leaving town.

The best part? This is a family friendly event where kids are welcome to participate. This will be such a great opportunity to give back and share the volunteering experience with kiddos. The project will entail trail work for a new open space on September 24th from 9am-12 noon. Registration is required.
This will be our first year participating at this event and I look forward to sharing our experience.
Maybe we will see you there!
